Southwold Revisited

Southwold Revisited

As I’ve been looking back through my posts, I’ve realised that several of them fall a bit short. I like to think that my blog has improved over time, so I’ve revisited some and added a few photos and extra info.

Our Southwold trip is a case in point. For some reason, I left out quite a few details, so here are some recommendations for places to stay, eat and drink. Obviously, we were there over a year ago, however I have checked the bible that is Tripadvisor, and all of these fine establishments are still highly rated.

Firstly, during our wet walk along the coast, we popped in to The Harbour Inn for a spot of lunch. We went for a few little dishes, which were all delicious.

It was also great to shelter from the rain with a pint or two of Adnams ale.

We also ate in a lovely little restaurant called Coasters. Being near the sea, we indulged our love of fish and seafood.

All of the food was beautifully presented and tasted great.

We both enjoyed our fishy meals at Coasters

Finally, I must mention our fantastic seafront bed and breakfast, Northcliffe. Being the upmarket destination that Southwold is, it isn’t cheap. However, even at £95 a night I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely room, although sadly missed out on a sea view. The breakfast was hearty and well cooked and our hosts were welcoming and helpful. I don’t think I need say anymore!
