Find your Perfect Ski Festival

I have been researching festivals recently as every year I hear about more and more events that sound amazing! I had no idea though that there are some fantastic ski festivals all over the world. They vary in terms of winter sports and music on offer, some are chilled, while others are a non stop party. To help discover your ideal ski festival, Admiral Insurance have put together a brilliant ski festival finder.

If you like the idea of a ski festival, here are some top tips to help you get the most out of the experience.

Use the Ski Festival Finder to find your ideal event

There are so many different ski festivals, that it really is worth taking the time to find one that suits you. Admiral’s Ski Festival Finder guides you through five questions to narrow down your options.

There are several ski festivals across Europe and the wider world

Starting with your preferred location, Europe or the wider world, the Ski Festival Finder moves on to the kind of music you like, your budget, how much skiing and winter sports you want to do, before ending by defining your most important aspect of a ski festival. I’ve tried it and it’s a great way to find your perfect festival. I got Rock The Pistes as my ideal festival, on the border of France and Switzerland, I might just have to check it out!

Research the Conditions

Once you’ve chosen your perfect ski festival using the Ski Festival Finder, it’s worth checking out the conditions there. It’s important to know what weather is expected so that you’re fully prepared. You don’t want to have to miss out on any action if you don’t have the right kit with you.

Bring your fancy dress A game

Many ski festivals have a strong fancy dress element, which adds to the party atmosphere, so don’t forget your best costume.

Bring your best fancy dress and get into the swing of things

Dress for comfort

Make sure you bring your comfortable clothes and shoes. Ski festivals are full on, and everyone pretty much lives in ski boots. Leave your heels and little black dress at home!

Take your time

There’s so much to do and see at ski festivals that it can be a little overwhelming. It might be tempting to party non stop, but add in the physical exertion of skiing, and it can all get too much. Take plenty of breaks, make sure you eat and drink properly and don’t be scared of taking a little down time if you need it.

What would be your ideal ski festival? Why don’t you use the Ski Festival Finder and find out?
