Review: Baby BOGS Waterproof Boots

Review: Baby BOGS Waterproof Boots

Just before our latest camping trip I got an email asking if I’d like to review some Baby BOGS boots for Finn. It couldn’t have come at a better time as I had just that morning been searching online for some wellies in his size. It had proved to be harder than I thought finding boots or tough outdoor shoes in a small enough size.

I had a look at the BOGS website and picked out a rather snazzy pair of “Babyclswoodland” boots that looked perfect for an active toddler. All of the designs were so funky that it was hard to pick a favourite! I finally managed to and luckily they turned up a couple of days before our trip, so we could try them out right away.

From the start I was so impressed with their quality. They have a warm and cosy lining which will be great in the winter, they are also completely waterproof. We had lots of fun putting this to the test in some rockpools on West Runton Beach. Happily, they kept Finn’s feet totally dry, even when he insisted on splashing in every little bit of water. The boots are also machine washable, which as any parent knows, is a non negotiable!

I love the designs of these boots, the handles make them so easy to pull on and off. Finn can easily take them off when he’s had enough, and can just about get them on himself.

At a RRP of £35, the boots are a little more expensive then I would usually pay, however they are such good quality and so well designed that they are worth every penny. I chose a size up so that they will last a little longer. I’m so glad I did, hopefully Finn will get to go on lots more adventures in his cool boots.

What do you think of the BOGS baby boots? Do you know someone who would love a pair?

Disclosure: I was given the boots for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own (and Finn’s).

  • They look like great sturdy boots! My Fin has Star Wars wellies at the moment, but I’m sure he would love a pair of BOGS. Sarah #WhateverTheWeather

These sound great. I moaned on twitter a few months back about the dearth of good outdoor shoes for toddlers, particularly under a size 7. We have a pair of Keen Newport shoes for the summer for our toddler and they’re brilliant, but they’re really not going to be suitable when the weather changes, so I’ll certainly look these up again. Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean, trying to find decent size 5 or 6 boots was harder than I thought! The BOGS were great though, will definitely be getting some more!

they actually look really good. I prob wouldn’t think to pay £35 but if they are going to last a while then I might consider it. my boy’s feet grow fast at the mo tho! #whatevertheweather

I know the feeling, Finn is growing at a rate of knots! I can’t wait until it slows down a little (probably when he’s about 20!) and I don’t have to keep buying him new clothes and shoes. The boots were so cool though 🙂

  • I know the feeling of the struggle to find sturdy shoes in small sizes! You think they would make smaller sizes so kids can get outdoors more! These boots look very cool though. Dont know if i would pay full price for them but if they were in the sale then i probably would. Hope you manage to get a lot more wear out of them #whatevertheweather

I know it was so hard finding decent outdoor wear for little toddlers! It seems to be an awkward age, there’s a fair bit for babies and loads for age 3 upwards but not a lot at 18 months 🙁 I’m desperately hoping he stops growing for a while so we can wear these boots for a good while yet!
