Sywell Country Park, Northants
After surviving my first week back at work I was eager to get outdoors with Finn for some relaxation. We didn’t have a lot of time so opted for a local jaunt.
We decided to go to Sywell Country Park as we hadn’t been for a while. It’s the perfect place for a quick walk and the views are pretty good too!
The weather didn’t look too promising, however it did brighten up as we were walking and Luke managed to get some great photos. I love the clear light you get in the winter.
Sywell is a great place to take the whole family for a walk. It’s about 2.5 miles around the reservoir, there’s also the shorter ‘Water Works Heritage Trail’. There’s a cafe which is open all year round, children’s play areas, an amphibian pond and butterfly garden. I also spotted an advert for the nature tots group which I can’t wait to take Finn to in the Summer.
It goes to show that even if it looks like a dull day, even if you only have an hour, get outside and you will be rewarded!
Wow! Another gorgeous walk. What stunning photos. We went for a lovely little walk this weekend, but nowhere near as gorgeous as this. The tots group in the summer sounds lovely! LPMx
Thanks! We didn’t have high hopes for this walk, I just needed to get out of the house. My fiance Luke took the photos, he got very excited as soon as he saw the light over the water 🙂
He’s an amazing photographer! Honestly… Does he shoot professionally or is it just a hobby? Fresh air is so good for the soul!
Thanks, I will pass on your lovely comments. It’s just a hobby, b
ut he is very good! I’m trying to use more of my own photos but it’s hard when his are so much better!
