Longshaw Estate

Longshaw Estate

Last week we headed to the Peak District for a few days. It was kind of a mini honeymoon, but also just because we fancied a break after all the wedding craziness.

Sorry, couldn’t resist posting a couple of wedding pics…

…there won’t be any more, I promise!

Despite some unfavorable forecasts, it didn’t rain. I was secretly hoping I’d be able to dress Finn in his gorgeous waterproofs, alas it stayed dry but very cold. So much for flaming June!

The first place we headed to was the Longshaw Estate, a beautiful area of parkland owned by the National Trust. It was lovely to stretch our legs after the drive up and enjoy some lovely scenery.

There are clearly marked walking trails starting from the tearoom

A cow grazes with calves nearby.

Cows and sheep graze at Longshaw. We loved these calves!

A path stretches into the distance, there is a tree either side and sheep grazing beside it.

The paths were perfectly fine for our pushchair

There is a shop, tearoom and toilets with baby changing facilities at Longshaw. It was a really lovely walk, and a great day out for just the cost of car parking.

Have you been on any new walks or discovered a new day out lately?
