Review: Common End Farm Campsite
This is a great value, friendly campsite with a warm welcome and perfectly adequate facilities. We stayed in the aptly named ‘Pretty Field’ which afforded beautiful views across the peaks. The pitches are large and we were able to pick our own spot; being able to park next to the tent was also a bonus.
The toilets and showers were always clean, although having only two showers did lead to queues at busy times. I was pleased to see there was a hairdryer provided as I have been known to suffer from camping hair anxiety (I’m only human). There was also a pot wash area and a free to use chest freezer.
We tried the local pub, The Dog and Partridge, one night. Our meals were fine, although it was missing the cosy feel of a real local-obviously more aimed at passing trade and tourists.
In summary, I would have no hesitation recommending this campsite to friends, and I would definitely be happy to stay here again.
