Free and Low Cost Days Out in Northamptonshire this May Half Term
The school holidays can be a lot of fun and offer lots of opportunities to enjoy days out with friends and family. However, costs can quickly mount up, so here are some free and low cost days out in Northamptonshire this half term.

Northampton Museum and Art Gallery
Free entry, temporary exhibits, as well as the History of Northampton and the Shoe Gallery.
Free Activities in Daventry
Free activities all week, including board games at Zepic Games on Tuesday 26th, Forest School on Wednesday 27th, swimming, football and Makes in the Museum.
Swansgate Shopping Centre, Wellingborough
Wednesday 27th May 11am-3pm. Grab the family for a day of FREE interactive fun that’s sure to be a “1-Up” for your half-term plans! Activities include meet and greets with your favourite characters, interactive go kart Scalextric track and colouring station and power star search trail through the centre.
Family Nature Walk
Meet at Irthlingborough Library NN9 5PU Wednesday 27th May 10.30-12pm
Corby Boating Lake Xplorer
Corby Boating Lake NN17 2UN, Friday 29th May 10am-12pm
East Hunsbury WI Trail
£3 per child, fun walking trail with a prize for every child. 22nd-26th May
Canal Museum, Stoke Bruerne
The Canal Museum is free to enter (parking charges apply), plus on Wednesday 27th May 11am-12pm they have a storytelling of the ‘Quack, Quack, Take Two Steps Back!’ book, with colouring, drawing and other activities. A chance for children to learn about staying safe when visiting our canals and rivers. Children will take home a free copy of the ‘Quack, Quack!’ book.This is a free event with squash and biscuits provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
