Top Camping Tips

This year we’re focusing on cutting down on the amount of gear we cart around the country on our various adventures.

So my first tip is a great idea for lightening the load, but still making sure you can knock up something delicious after a long day hiking.

This is simply a pill box (available for a couple of quid from your local pharmacy) filled with lots of lovely ingredients to jazz up any meal. A length of white electrical tape and a marker pen means you won’t forget what you’ve got (hopefully!).

My second tip is to check out your local Poundland, especially their camping section. Now, while I’m not saying that everything will be amazing quality, we picked up a folding shovel that seems to be very well made. For £1 it was an absolute bargain and sure to come in very handy. I haven’t tried anything else from their range yet, but I was impressed.
