Adventurous Dates to try this Valentine’s Day
I was gifted some items from adidas for the purposes of this post. All words and opinions are my own.
How do you like to show your loved one just how much they mean to you?
There are so many cute Valentine’s gifts to choose from, so you can pick out the perfect present that you know they’ll love. But why stop there? Why not also spend some unforgettable quality time together and do something a little more adventurous to celebrate the day dedicated to the patron saint of lovers?
Here are a few ideas for more active and adventurous ways to spend time with your loved one. As an added bonus, St Valentine’s Day falls on the weekend this year, so there’s even more reason to try something different.
Something New
Padel has taken the world by storm, and is played by over 30 million people across the globe. It is especially popular in Europe, particularly Spain where it comes second only to football in popularity. It has similarities with both tennis and squash, and it’s easy for anyone to pick up the basics. Primarily played as a doubles sport, it also has a strong social element to it, which makes it perfect for a double date.
Now the UK is getting on board with this fast paced racquet sport and has seen an explosion in players over the last few years. According to the LTA, there are now 1000 padel courts across 325 venues in the UK, so it’s easier than ever to give padel a try.
Something Shared
If you’re looking for a closer connection to your loved one this Valentine’s Day, why not share an experience and learn about what your partner enjoys.
Maybe by sharing each other’s hobbies, you might gain a deeper understanding. For example, if one of you loves golf, why not spend some time together on the course or driving range, or maybe you could both try a new workout or class together at your gym. And just think how cute you’ll look in matching golf clothing!
You might just find a whole new appreciation for your partner’s hobby (or not, but it’s still worth a try!)
Something Romantic
For a truly romantic adventurous date, why not dust off your outdoor shoes and head off the beaten track on a hike to explore the unknown together. It’s the perfect way to spend time together and talk without the distractions and stresses of everyday life.
Keeping the romance alive on a soggy hike in the Lake District
For extra romance, why not set off early in the morning and watch the sunrise together-can you think of a better way to kick off Valentine’s Day?
What’s the most adventurous date you’ve ever been on?
