Mother’s Day Gift Guide for Outdoor Mums
Sunday 26th March is Mother’s Day this year and it’s approaching quickly, so I thought I’d put together a gift guide with an outdoors theme. I don’t know about you, but my mum is never a fan of typical ‘mumsy’ presents, instead opting for more practical gifts. Here’s a few ideas if chocolates or bubble bath just won’t cut it.
Clockwise from top left.
- Custom Map and Compass Set £29.99
Even before I became an Ordnance Survey GetOutside Champion, I was a massive fan of OS maps. I particularly love their custom maps, and have given them as gifts to several family and friends. You choose your centre point and scale, you can even pick your own title and cover picture for your map. Even better, you can now add a compass (usually £24.99) for a great gift bundle for any outdoor loving mum.
- RSPB Scarf £15
I had to have one ‘mumsy’ present on here and the RSPB have a great range of beautiful scarves in a variety of nature themed prints. I really love this fox design, but there are lots to choose from. In fact, if you are struggling to choose, the whole range of scarves are currently buy one get one free!
- PACMAT from £19
If you’ve seen my recent PACMAT review, then you’ll know that I was very impressed. There are a range of sizes, from the ‘Patch’ up to a ‘XL’ and a variety of bold and funky designs, including the beautiful ‘Butterflies’ illustrated here. These lightweight, waterproof and washable mats are perfect for all outdoor loving mums.
Finn has a pair of Baby BOGS and I have been really impressed with their quality and durability. These Pompon boots, not only look gorgeous, but are sure to be made to the same high standard. Available in blue, plum and black versions, all with a pretty flower motif, these boots are sure to brighten up any walk.
If you haven’t heard of Buff, then where have you been?! The super versatile outdoor wear that comes in a staggering array of colours and designs, is beloved of outdoor types the world over. It can be worn as a scarf, hat, sweatband, scrunchie and balaclava amongst other things. In fact there are 12 ways to wear one. The ultimate multi tasker, and it looks pretty good too!
What do you think of my list? Have you got your mum a present yet?
